What are the application scopes of polypropylene staple fiber?

The uses of polypropylene staple fiber: Polypropylene has excellent comprehensive performance and a wide range of applications.

The properties of polypropylene staple fiber: Polypropylene is a thermoplastic resin with a regular configuration and high crystallinity (crystallinity up to 95%). The product is a natural granular material, a non-toxic, odorless, tasteless and lightweight polymer with a density of 0.90 to 0.91g/ cm , making it the lightest among general-purpose plastics. It has good rigidity and wear resistance, relatively high hardness, and good high-temperature impact resistance (but it drops sharply below -5℃). It has strong resistance to repeated folding. It has good heat resistance, with a heat distortion temperature of 114℃, a Vicat softening point above 140℃, a melting point of 164-167℃, and a continuous service temperature of 110-120℃. Under no-load conditions, the service temperature can reach 150℃. It is the only general-purpose plastic that can be boiled in water and disinfected at 130℃. It has good chemical stability and does not react with most chemicals except for strong oxidizing media. Its stability in water is particularly outstanding. It is not only insoluble in water but also hardly absorbs water. The water absorption rate in water after 24 hours is only 0.01%. It has excellent electrical insulation performance, good voltage resistance and arc resistance. Its main disadvantages are poor lightfastness and easy aging. It has poor cold resistance, low low-temperature impact strength, poor toughness, high static electricity, and poor dyeability, printability and adhesiveness. However, it can be improved by adding auxiliaries or by blending and copolymerizing.
